Transportation and Disposal Technician

1.Performs waste profiling, manifesting, lab packaging and transportation services for hazardous and non-hazardous materials at customer sites.
2.Leads and manages the planning, scheduling, reviewing and approving of job assignments for a medium sized T&D crew (2-5) to complete a task or project in a timely and efficient manner.
3.Creates and prints manifests, labels, Land Disposal Restrictions, waste profiles, etc. for T&D projects using web-based Waste Management program.
4.Tracks and stores T&D related information in the internal document management system
5.Assists T&D Team Leader on a daily basis in developing and documenting transportation and disposal procedures.
6.Performs industrial services projects including tank cleanings and facility decons/cleanings.
7.Assists in emergency response (ER) activities including determining ER equipment needs, loading ER equipment, and performing clean-up activities (including 1 week of 24-7 on-call every 5 weeks).

Required qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Valid Minnesota driver’s license with acceptable driving record
•Possess or have access to reliable means of transportation on a 24-hour basis
•Minimum 4-years' or more of relevant related experience
•40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification & current on 8 hour OSHA HAZWOPER refresher course
•Has Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Class B and Hazmat endorsement
•Comprehensive knowledge of DOT and RCRA Hazardous waste rules and regulations including DOT HAZMAT training

Preferred qualifications
•4-year bachelor’s degree in a science related field
•Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
